WHAT IS YOUR PASSION? WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE OF LIFE?
Mar 26, 2022Before I start writing, I want to say THANK YOU to all the people who used to read my blog or sometimes write me through social media or by email. You can not imagine all the happiness that I have gotten from reading them and, when I have time, writing something back.
Clearly, I am not a blogging expert, and as I said from the beginning I am also learning along the way. However, I LOVE to give advice, words of encouragement and just feel a sense of community with most of you. Really, these are the most wonderful things for me since I started my blog.
Today, I want to talk about something that I mention in a lot of my posts – “The purpose of life”. There is a very accurate phrase that I read recently in a book which says: “The purpose of life is to live a life with purpose” and I totally agree.
“The purpose of life is to live
a life with a purpose”
The word purpose has different interpretations, but it is definitely related to the passion of each person, with that energy, that feeling that you have for something that you love, the feeling that generates something that you would probably do for free and you can not believe that someone pays you for doing it.
If you have not yet identified or discovered your passion, do not worry because it is normal, what I do want is for you to make an effort to find it! That’s why I want us to do the following exercise based on what Steven Kotler, a writer, and American journalist recommends.
Let’s Find Your Passion With These Easy Steps
The first thing he says is that each person’s passion is born from the intersection of several things in which a person is curious.
Therefore, the first thing you should do is:
– Sit down and make a list of all the things that make you curious and make you creative. For example: Have you ever realized that there are some activities you do more easily than other people? Everyone, absolutely everyone has a skill more developed than others, focus on that, things that excite you, make you anxious (in a good way), or things that you love to investigate or read. When you have that list, choose the main ones, I recommend three.
– The second thing you do is a diagram of 3 circles or more (depending on how many you chose) and you will see what is the intersection or the relationship between them, what they have in common. When you find that point, it is because you found your passion!
With our Passion, We can find our purpose in life
– That is precisely the third step, write 15 challenges or 15 problems that you see in the world, in your work, in your family, wherever you want to improve or solve, and identify which of these can be solved through your passion. You will always see something that we can improve through what we like to do.
Therefore, the first thing is that curiosity helps you identify your passion and the second is to identify problems that can be solved through your passion, which would be your purpose in life. This is going to be the only thing that will help you to give value and meaning to your life, and not only that, I’m sure that you will get the best version of yourself.
Remember:
If being healthy starts from our thoughts, and if our thoughts are focused daily on what we do, and if what we do is what we really love, then we are giving meaning and a good path to our life.
You must always add passion to what you do, passion is the most important thing to achieve what you want or what you want to be.
